Google Chrome is available for iOS and it is a great alternative to Safari. I spent some time reviewing Chrome on the iOS and here is what I discovered. It is worth downloading and it is becoming my preferred browser for my iPhone and iPad.

That’s message from the YouTube developer blog which cites half-a-dozen areas where Flash trumps HTML5 and explains why “the <video> tag does not currently meet all the needs of a site like YouTube.”
YouTube has some bad news for those of you hoping the site would soon ditch Flash in favour of HTML5 video tags: It isn’t going to happen any time soon.

Breakthrough for Mobile Television
(Feb. 14, 2010) — Long Term Evolution, a new mobile telecommunications standard, is poised to revolutionize mobile Internet. High transmission rates will soon be possible on mobile devices. For this purpose Fraunhofer researchers at HHI Berlin developed the cross-layer design SVC over LTE -- a coding method that offers HD films in real-time in the appropriate format for cell phones or netbooks.

When a business or organization thinks about delivering a mobile media version of their Internet presence to their customers, there is a tendency to want to start by migrating what they already have on the Internet to a mobile media platform. In my work developing mobile media strategy, I have come across a consistent misconception that all that needs to be done is a redesign of their current website for mobile devices.

Mobile apps are written specifically for a particular mobile Operating System. Smartphones are sophisticated devices that run an operating system, just like your desktop computer or laptop. Mobile apps have to be small so they are quick to download.
